The nights are noticeably drawing in and before too long those first Christmas adverts will be appearing on TV. Thoughts therefore will innevitibly turn to the Christmas period. For some there will be the chance to squeeze in a pre Christmas break whilst for others the festive season presents an opportunity to getaway for a yuletide break.
Torquay and The English Riviera are open for business right throughout the winter months and many of the attractions provide something special for the month of December in particular such as the Dartmouth Steam Railway's Santa Express or the truly magical Coleton Aglow where the house and gardens of Coleton Fishacre are illuminated at night (1-31st December) for visitors to wander through and even partake in warming mulled wine.
Christmas is also the prefect time to visit friends and family in Torquay and by choosing to stay in a holiday apartment over the festive season you relieve your hosts of lots of extra work and stress. You also have the flexibility and privacy that having your own accommodation provides.
The Muntham Apartments welcome guests with cheery Christmas lights and hallways decked with garlands, trees and a nativity scene all evoking echoes of Christmases past. Each apartment has its own decoration to continue the feeling of festive cheer throughout.
We are able to offer visitors yuletide accommodation such as the fabulous three bedroom and two bathroom townhouse which provides enormous space for families of up to five people plus a four legged family companion. There are also large one bedroom ground floor apartments (also pet friendly) plus two further first floor one bedroom apartments and two surprisingly spacious studio apartments.
For guests who like to celebrate the season by attending midnight mass or a Christmas Day service, St Matthias's Anglican church is but a five minute walk from the apartments. On Boxing Day, it is possible to go and witness (and even participate in) the Boxing Day swims in the sea both in Torquay and neighbouring Teignmouth.
There is also the traditional Boxing Day fixtures at Newton Abbot and Exeter Races.Furthermore, the National Trust Properties such as Agatha Christie's holiday home Greenway and the D'Oyly Carte family home Coleton Fishacre are both open over the Chistmas period.
