Babbacombe Theatre

This theatre is a five minute car journey away from The Muntham Luxury Holiday Apartments and Town House and can be reached on foot in about fifteen minutes. It is perched up on the cliffs overlooking Babbacombe Bay and was the venue that helped begin the careers of Bruce Forsythe Jimmy Tarbuck as well as a host of other stars of variety.

Shows at The Babbacombe Theatre

The Babbacombe Theatre is a plucky independent theatre which for much of the year is home to variety shows which feature a lot of home gorwn English Rivier talent. The year is also punctuated by visits of one person shows typically stand up comedians. There are also visiting musical acts and tribute bands.

The theatre is quite quirky and does not have a bar and audience members have typically gone across the road to neighbouring pubs during the interval.

2020 has been a very difficult year for theatres and in order to survive, the Babbacombe theatre has been part of crowd funding efforts.
