The English Riviera has an impressive range of beaches that can be enjoyed at all times of the year. With such a diverse offering ranging from secluded coves to large stretches of sandy beaches, there is a beach to suit every taste. The Muntham Luxury Holiday Apartments and Town House are superbly placed to access all of them; some are within easy walking distance whilst others are only a short drive away. And in fact many are also easily accessed via the superb public transport system available across the Bay.
It is also possible to hire beach huts and beach chalets (for example at Meadfoot Beach) by the week on a number of the beaches - plan ahead though as these do get booked up quite far ahead.

Below are just some of the award winning beaches that can be enjoyed by visitors wanting a beach holiday in Torquay.
This is just a 12 minute walk from The Muntham Apartments and Town House. There is quite a steep path down to the cove.
It has a rocky and shingle beach and features a superb beach cafe.
There is a car park very close by and there are toilets by the beach. The beach is dog friendly all year round.
This picturesque Bay has a number of shingle beaches some of which are only really visible at low tide. At one end of the Bay is the main beach where visitors can also find the superb beach cafe which is open all year round.
There are also toilets and plenty of on road parking. There are two public car parks at each end of the Bay.
This was a beach that Agatha Christie use to swim from when she was a young girl through to her later life. It is a twenty minute walk from The Muntham Apartments and Town House.

This beach is located at the foot of the cliffs beneath Babbacombe Downs. It is about a twenty to twenty five minute walk from The Muntham Apartments and Town House but can also reached by the buses that go on to Babbacombe and St Marychurch.
Reaching the beach can either be via a road that zig zags down or by the wonderful Victorian Cliff Railway which operates all year.
The beach itself is coarse sand/fine shingle. There are plenty of water sports on offer as well as a wonderful beach cafe called Three Degrees West.
This is Torquay's main beach. It all but disappears at high tide but when the tide is low a vast expanse of flat sands are exposed. It is a wonderful beach for families as the sands are so flat and even when in the sea there are no steep slopes.
Nearby are toilets, on street parking, car parks and the Abbey sands developments with a great range of bars, restaurants, cafes and takeaways. Torre Abbey is just a five minute walk away as is the Riviera International Centre with its leisure pools.
From The Muntham Apartments and Town House it is five minutes by car or ten minutes by bus. It is also walkable in about thirty minutes.
